Cornerstone Response to the COVID Virus

March 23, 2020 – ELKHART, IN – Given the recent news that COVID-19 has been confirmed in our local geographical area Cornerstone is concerned about the safety and well being of our staff and clients.

We want to do our part to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus by implementing the following:

Beginning Tuesday, March 24, our offices will be closed to all non-Cornerstone personnel.

Limited personnel will maintain office hours which will continue to be Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM to answer the phone and to receive any documents you put into our dropbox located just outside our front entrance door.

Our staff can work from home and you can continue to be in contact with them by email.

We will contact you when your tax returns are completed and we can get those returns to you by either US Postal mail, email or through the use of our Cornerstone portal.

We have also implemented the e-signature program whereby you can review your digital copy of the tax return and then sign e-sign the authorization forms, all electronically from your computer or phone.

Recently the IRS and the State of Indiana have extended the income tax filing and payment due date from April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020.

Given the financial impact that COVID-19 may have on individuals and businesses Cornerstone is working hard at completing the preparation of your tax returns.
